I watched a YouTube video of Matt Gaetz masterfully grilling FBI Director Christopher Wray in such a manner that the Director had no ability to answer the congressman’s questions directly without exposing himself as an accomplice to treason. Then I learned yesterday that Gaetz dropped out and Trump appointed somebody else to be the Attorney General. The only conclusion that I reached was that every criminal in Washington DC just gave a huge sigh of relief. But isn’t this the way it has been since 2016, if not before when Obama‘s guys, like Eric Holder, got off the hook? We continue being frustrated in our quest for justice being served to the people who are most unjust. What else do we notice about business in Washington DC? It’s always our guys, our best guys, who gets smeared and have to drop out of being appointed to a powerful position while the other teams appointees rarely if ever suffer the same fate.

Ken, so as I mentioned earlier in this thread that there may be some theories forthcoming about the Gaetz appointment and subsequent withdrawal.

So until a future post…👋

So I want to ask you, do you think there should be investigations into those such as Mayorkas and Maiely for their actions? Seems it is a target rich environment.

Not sure why you ask me this. Of course I believe that Milley and Mayorkas have committed treason and deserve to be tried and punished. I am naive to think that the words “lawyers” and “justice” can ever be together in the same sentence clause. Cynical me—there still are some honest lawyers.

I actually agree with you on this point 100%. I watched several of the Gaetz grilling and he definitely showed no mercy, nor should he have.

But Gaetz did /does have a great deal of baggage (even though I don’t believe most of it) so it would have been an uphill battle from the get-go and actually that pick surprised me.

That said, the new pick, Pam Bondi is actually a better pick anyway (IMHO) with no baggage (that we know of anyway) and loads of experience doing that very job. I’m looking forward to the chaos she’ll cause with the deep state cronies.

Thx for chiming in Retired, I always enjoy the interactions here on the Stack, even if we disagree. Especially when it’s done in a polite and respectful way.

Agreeing is nice, but I tend to be very skeptical as I have been reading and listening a lot in the last few years about what we believe based on what we were taught about how things work in the world, and how they actually work in the world. I’m not sure what you mean about baggage because the only baggage that I am aware of is the hypocritical accusations that Gaetz committed a crime with an underage female, which seems hypocritical on its face because as more stories leak out showing that this New World order has no problem whatsoever with sexualizing children, and with adults being able to prey on those children. Wasn’t Gaetz exonerated by the DoJ? Yes, he was. I’m even skeptical about why Trump appointed, and Gaetz accepted the position in the first place, and why he would do such a rash thing as resigning from Congress. I’m sure some people will look into that and provide some theories.

I don’t know anything about Pam Bondi, but while she may be “qualified”, does she have the same tenacity as Gaetz?, does she have a burning desire within her to mete out justice to every single treasonous person, no matter how powerful they are? Or is this going to be come more of the same where the people of the United States get a few low level scalps and who suffer virtually no punishment as a result.

Skepticism is a good thing so long as it doesn’t melt over into “conspiracy” but personally I think your Skepticism is spot on. I guess I’m not being Skeptical enough lately as I usually try to hang in the middle somewhere. And regarding Gaetz’s Baggage, that’s why I stated that I didn’t believe the charges; but sadly the “powers that be” have successfully used that to stop his being appointed.

Regarding Bondi, she is a bulldog, worked for Trump in his first term and again knows the job of the AG. IMHO she’ll be wonderful…

I’d like to get a whole lot more context about this conversation in order to get an idea about what they are talking about. I don’t recall her ever making noise about attacking the 2nd amendment and certainly Trump is a Pro 2nd amendment advocate. Can you provide a bit more background Retired? Looking forward to hearing back on this…

Bump stocks:

The other event that the second amendment community didn’t like was a ban on bump stocks. A court has overturned that ban recently.
